Astrachan Gunst Thomas Announces 2008 Maryland Bar Convention Accomplishments
 
 “The 2008 Maryland Bar convention at Ocean City, was very kind to our members”, says James B. Astrachan of Astrachan Gunst Thomas, P.C. 

Donna Thomas, Managing Member, was elected the Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Maryland Bar Association.  On July 1, 2008, Donna will assume this position.  Congratulations to Donna. 

Julie R. Rubin, for the second time, was the first place winner of The Daily Record’s annual 10K foot race, women’s division, although you can be sure she also beat many of the men.  She walked back to the convention hotel, from the finish line, carrying a four-foot trophy.  Julie competitive?  Nah.

Jim Astrachan was elected a Life Fellow of the Maryland Bar Association Foundation, an honor in “recognition of outstanding dedication and contribution to maintaining the honor and integrity of the legal profession, the improvement and facilitation of the administration of justice, the work of the original Bar of Maryland and civic leadership.”  Membership is limited to not more than 2.5% of the MSBA membership.
