Devaney & Associates Wins Gold ADDY
Local advertising agency wins award for CODENAME.Mike promotion
BALTIMORE – June 9, 2010 – Devaney & Associates, a local advertising, marketing and public relations agency, announced that it is the winner of a Gold ADDY from the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore. The ADDY was awarded to Devaney & Associates for their sales promotion for CODENAME.Mike, a rock band quickly rising in popularity. Members of CODENAME.Mike have originated from well-known bands, including: The Kings Royal (Benny Marchant), Pearl Jam (Dave Krusen), Annie Lennox and Vertical Horizon (Sean Hurley) and Blind Melon (Christopher Thorn).
Devaney & Associates created the promotional package for the band, which included a biography, contact information, photos and music reviews, all with a “classified information” theme. Baltimore’s Gold ADDY winners will advance onto the regional competition where they will be judged against entries from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and D.C.

The 36th Annual ADDY Awards Show was held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in Towson, MD. The awards attracted more than 250 attendees this year, with 375 entries from 44 agencies/companies/students. A total of 55 Gold ADDYs and 68 Silver ADDYS were handed out.
The ADDY’s are the world’s largest advertising competition with over 60,000 entries annually. The awards recognize all forms of advertising in all forms of media, including: sales promotion, collateral, direct marketing, out-of-home, non-traditional, consumer or trade publication, newspaper, interactive media, radio, television, mixed/multiple media, advertising for the arts and sciences, public service, advertising industry self-promotion, elements of advertising and student work. There are currently over 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts involved in the ADDY awards.
