MGH Wins National Awards for Outstanding Advertising Campaigns
Agency receives ADDY award from American Advertising Federation
and recognition from leading jewelry trade publication INDESIGN
BALTIMORE (June 2, 2008) – MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced that it has won three national advertising awards on behalf of its clients: two silver ADDY Awards and a second place Jewelry and Watch Advertising Award (JAWA) from the trade publication INDESIGN. MGH was the only Baltimore agency to win at the national ADDY awards competition, and this is the first annual JAWA competition.
MGH received the two ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation for its outdoor advertisements created on behalf of Brothers Services. With more than 60,000 entries, the ADDY award program is the world’s largest advertising competition. Last month, MGH won 31 awards — the most of any participating agency — at the local level and eight awards at the district level, allowing the company to move to the national competition.
MGH also won a second place JAWA, through a program sponsored by INDESIGN Magazine, a leading jewelry trade publication. MGH received this award for its innovative outdoor billboards created on behalf of its client, Smyth Jewelers. The JAWAs are the first and only awards competition honoring advertising excellence in the jewelry and watch industry.
“We are always excited to receive awards for our creative advertising campaigns, but being recognized on a national level is a true testament that you don’t need to be in a big city for your work to get noticed,” said John Patterson, creative director at MGH. “With these campaigns, our creative team brings innovative and out-of-the-box thinking that helps our advertisements get noticed in Baltimore and recognized nationally.”
