What happens when businesses, creatives, and industry leaders speak up? Change.

Governor Wes Moore confirmed that the B2B tax is off the table, acknowledging the
overwhelming concerns raised by businesses across the state. (Read more here)
This victory didn’t happen by chance. It happened because businesses showed up, testified, and ensured their voices were heard. Over 100 business leaders testified in person, and more than 300 submitted written statements opposing the tax. AAF Baltimore was proud to be part of that effort, standing alongside businesses and creatives to fight for Maryland’s economic future.
But the work isn’t over. While the B2B tax is gone, discussions continue about shifting the
burden to consumers or broadening taxable services. That’s why we must stay engaged, stay vocal, and keep advocating for policies that support, rather than hinder, Maryland businesses.
This is proof that when we come together, we can make a difference. Let’s keep pushing
forward.
