Celebrate Excellence: AAF Baltimore Now Accepting Nominations for 2024 Awards

It’s nomination season at the American Advertising Federation Baltimore (AAFB), and we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the individuals who make our advertising community exceptional. If you know someone who’s made a significant impact—whether through groundbreaking work, unwavering dedication, or inspiring leadership—now’s your chance to nominate them for one of AAFB’s prestigious awards.

Here’s a quick look at the awards and what they stand for:

Lifetime Achievement Award

Since its inception in 2009, this award has honored those who have shaped Baltimore’s advertising landscape with their remarkable careers. It’s a tribute to individuals whose work has set high standards and inspired others in the industry. Previous honorees include industry giants like Allan Charles (2023) and Billy Twigg (2022), whose contributions continue to resonate.

Silver Medal Award

Established in 1959, the Silver Medal Award celebrates those who have made outstanding contributions to the advertising field and furthered its standards and social responsibility. It’s an accolade for those who have driven creative excellence and industry growth. Recent recipients such as Andres Zapata (2023) and Matt McDermott (2022) exemplify the spirit of innovation and commitment this award represents.

Crystal Prism Award

The Crystal Prism Award, often seen as recognizing the “unsung heroes” of our industry, honors those who have gone above and beyond in supporting their local ad clubs. This award is about appreciating those who work tirelessly behind the scenes, enhancing the community and the industry. Notable past winners include Krystal Cotriss (2023) and Ashlene Larson (2022).

Katherine Mahool Iconoclast Award

Named after a pioneering figure in our field, the Katherine Mahool Iconoclast Award is dedicated to women who have shattered industry norms and redefined success. It’s about celebrating those who have broken barriers and paved the way for others. Previous awardees like Diane Devaney (2023) and Barbara Brotman Kaylor (2022) have set remarkable examples of innovation and leadership.
