Brent Burkhardt (TBC)

The Baltimore creative community recently lost a respected communicator and colleague with the passing of Brent Burkhardt on December 29, 2025.

Brent spent more than three decades at Baltimore-based agency TBC, where he built a remarkable career in public relations and strategic communications. Through his work, he helped organizations across our region and beyond tell their stories with clarity, purpose, and authenticity, strengthening connections between brands, media, and the communities they serve.

He was known throughout the industry for his professionalism, deep media relationships, and thoughtful approach to problem-solving. Brent believed that strong communications began with listening and that trust was earned through consistency and integrity. Those values shaped not only the campaigns he supported but also the many colleagues and partners who learned from working alongside him.

While his career included national recognition and high-profile work, those who knew Brent often speak first about his generosity, mentorship, and steady presence. He represented the kind of communications professional who made the entire community better simply by how he showed up and supported others.

AAF Baltimore extends its heartfelt condolences to Brent’s family, friends, and colleagues at TBC, and joins the broader creative community in honoring a life dedicated to storytelling, collaboration, and doing good work the right way.
